Today I introduced my students to the Real Number System. What may seem like a basic lesson of naming numbers is actually a difficult concept for middle schoolers to grasp. Hopefully, by using a graphic organizer, I made it just a little easier for my students to understand.

Today we took a final test for Ch. 2, and I haven't graded them all but the ones I have look pretty good! :) Next up is Chapter 3...this is a VERY IMPORTANT chapter! We'll learn more about rational numbers and even throw in some irrational numbers....add a little Pythagorean Theorem, square roots, and graphing....and now you have an idea about what Ch. 3 is all about. The EOG LOVES Ch. 3!
HOMEWORK TONIGHT: All Blocks...complete graphing sheet (make sure you color it!) I sincerely apologize to all five of you that might actually read this ever once and a while, BUT there's not a whole lot going on these days AND quite frankly, I'm TIRED! :)

BENCHMARK tomorrow CH 2 Notes due THURSDAY HW...ALL BLOCKS...pg. 111 3-25 ALL Today was one of the first days that we haven't had rain in a WHOLE week! Thank goodness! It was still overcast this morning which made it a tad bit difficult to wake up, but I did! And what a day! Thankfully we've FINALLY completed Chapter Two! I wasn't sure that we'd EVER be able to move on from the FEROCIOUS FRACTIONS!
