Today was a GREAT day! A little long...and my feet hurt, but I'm looking forward to a fantastic year!!!

What a nice long weekend!!! Much needed break for all of us! We started Ch. 6 today...most of it will be a geometry review.
HW: All blocks...Worksheet...front and back Comic Strips were due today...-20 points each day it is late Bl 1 and 2...work packets from Thursday due today...will not be taken late Transformation Test has not been returned yet Study Island assignment due on Wednesday Career Project will be assigned tomorrow and due on Thursday, March 17th March 22nd...Family Fun Night at school Well, my students took their Transformation test today...they will get them back HOPEFULLY by Tuesday!
Not too much else to report...except some assignments that wll be due soon... 1) Comic Strip Dilation...due Monday...must be colored 2) Sub Work Packet...due Monday...must be complete and graph colored (Bl 1 and 2 only) 3) New project will be assigned next week NO HOMEWORK TONIGHT! Well my last official post was December 9th...I guess you can say I got lazy or took a break or things got too crazy....whatever it was, I'M BACK!!! I've been trying to get "back" to blogging since Friday, but as you can tell NO LUCK! Well fear not my few (literally 1 or 2) readers...I'M BACK in full force!!!
Okay so for the stuff you really want to know.... HW: TRANSFORMATION TEST TOMORROW...Study Study Study Also: *Foldables should be turned in tomorrow *Name reflections are PAST DUE *We will continue to work on our COMIC STRIPS tomorrow *STUDY ISLAND DUE AT MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY NIGHT OTHER NEWS: *Family Fun night is coming up....if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. S. Atkinson. We continued working on slope-intercept form today! Every day we will add a litte to this lesson. My current plan is to end with this lesson and complete the rest of the chapter after break. This means I will quiz them next Tuesday on all of Ch 11 that we've covered so far, and I will test them on the same material Thursday.
We did have a quiz today and I hope to have them graded and returned by tomorrow! HW: Block One: Worksheet...name the slope and y-intercept Block Two: pg. 644 L11.5 all...name the slope and y-intercept Block Three: Worksheet...graph each equation using the slope and y-intercept 1-6 SIX MORE DAYS...I can hardly wait!!! Repeat after me...y = mx + b...y = mx + b...y = mx + b...if I had to choose ONE concept that is the MOST important constant (per the NC 8th grade EOG), this would be it. The Algebra strand of 8th grade map makes up approx. 40% of the test. We'll work on Slope Intercept form for the next few days.
Tomorrw I'm giving a quiz on L11.1-L11.4. I'll probably test on L11.1-11.5 next Wednesday. We'll finish the rest of the chapter after Christmas break (which is in 7 days, but who's counting!). HW: Block 1 & 2: Slope and Y-intercept wksh BOTH SIDES Block 3: Finish slope wksheet and 2nd slope and y-intercept wksh. Function tables, linear equations, slope, sequences...these are the words of the week!

We took our Ch. 4 Test today, and from the looks of things, they grades are not too bad! Students will get their tests back tomorrow. HW: Block One and Two: Finish Holiday Graphing sheet Block Three: Wksheet from last night...Arithmetic, geometric, or neither Believe it or not, this is the FIRST chance I've gotten to sit down tonight!
